ANALYSIS/OPINION:
Unsurprisingly, congressional Democrats, Never Trumpers and their allies in the biased mainstream media want the American people to focus on the events of Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol Building above all else.
Pay no mind to skyrocketing crime, unsustainable national debt, a crisis at the border, Hunter’s laptop, rising gas prices or inflation — just pay attention to former President Trump instead.
The left desperately wants to create a 9/11-style commission for an opportunity to investigate Mr. Trump yet again and further politicize a tragedy to help their chances in the 2022 midterm elections. Sadly, Trump Derangement Syndrome continues to rule the day because it helps prop up plummeting ratings.
Senate Republicans were right to block the creation of this politically-inspired commission. The American people have urgent needs from their leaders in Congress and starting another anti-Trump circus isn’t one of them. Unhinged Democrats already rushed to politicize Jan. 6 with their second fake impeachment of Mr. Trump in February, so creating a special commission now makes no sense whatsoever. Not to mention, those responsible are already being held accountable by U.S. Attorneys and federal grand juries by the bushel-full. By last count, at least 465 individuals have been arrested.
Voters have taken notice that the Democrat’s legislative agenda is going nowhere. Only a frantic bunch of leftists would turn to another Trump witch hunt to fill the void left by an unpassable socialist agenda that’s been ground to a halt due to political reality. Sadly, attacking Mr. Trump continues to be the liberal’s default position — so much for President Biden’s unity message.
Democrats have no idea how to fix our struggling economy. They want to raise taxes, pack the Supreme Court, kill the filibuster, impose the Green New Deal, and spend trillions upon trillions in taxpayer dollars on the liberal wish list. The American people are against this leftward lurch and that’s why Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer want to attack Mr. Trump.
As the left obsesses over their hatred of Donald Trump, the most important story isn’t getting anywhere near the attention it deserves. To date, 3.7 million people have died from COVID-19 — including nearly 600,000 Americans — and the world deserves to know why. Serious questions must be asked about the origins of the deadly virus that continues to cost us all so much.
It’s shameful that Joe Biden and the Democratic leadership in Congress aren’t making the truth about the coronavirus a priority. It’s almost as if they’re unwilling to confront China for its bad behavior — something Mr. Trump made a policy of doing. And Mr. Trump is absolutely right; China should pay reparations for its role in this pandemic and $10 trillion seems like a good place to start the negotiations. Furthermore, if China doesn’t fully cooperate with commission investigators, the world should make it clear that they can kiss the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing goodbye.
Uncovering the origins of this global pandemic is as important today as it was to get answers about the 9/11 terrorist attack. If the Biden administration and their allies on Capitol Hill were acting in the best interests of America, they would be advocating for a COVID-19 commission first and foremost. And because of this critical lapse in judgement, 2022 Republican congressional candidates should be on the campaign trail promising just that. The world needs America to lead once again. If we don’t demand the truth — and rally our allies to do the same — it will be an unfortunate turning point in world history.
The Communist leaders in China are relishing in the prospect of another partisan Democratic investigation relating to Donald Trump instead of one that focuses on them. Beijing knows that the more time that elapses before a legitimate investigation commences is a big win for their saving face on the world stage.
The globalists at the World Health Organization have made it clear that they don’t have the backbone to speak truth to the CCP’s aggression and conduct the necessary investigation into China’s role in the pandemic and their alleged cover-up. The left’s position — that we need to focus on preventing the next pandemic instead of shining a light on the current pandemic — is disgraceful. History teaches that if there’s no deterrent for bad behavior, it will continue.
So, what did Dr. Fauci know and when did he know it? Did the virus start in a lab in China? And did U.S. funded gain of function research play a role or not? China must open up and come clean — and only the United States of America showing crystal clear resolve can make that happen.
This is a moment for Mr. Biden to show American strength instead of weakness. The president should state in no uncertain terms that America is going to pursue the truth about the origins of COVID-19 and will go it alone if necessary. That would be putting America first for a change.
